Arcade Fire’s “Funeral” turned 10…

1 note

a couple weeks back. as soon as i published these, i searched twitter for “Arcade Fire “Funeral” and the amount of other people on the internet who also “reflected on its greatness” was alarming. I was all like, “WHAT DOES MY LIFE EVEN MEAN?” But I was the only one I know of to speak with the artist behind the cover (and also that mural that popped up in Brooklyn!) so that made me feel better.

Green Day’s “American Idiot” Turns 10…

I wrote a track-by-track review for Billboard.com… listening to this extensively for the first time since high school really, I realized how much this is an album about growing up, accepting life’s shortcomings, and moving on. Also “Wake Me Up When September Ends” really doesn’t fit the flow of the story/album.

Interpol Plays Deep Cuts & ‘El Pintor’ at 2,000-Year-Old Egyptian Temple

Interpol claims NYU roots, called Manhattan home before the Brooklyn scene became trendy, and eventually played Madison Square Garden while signed to Capitol Records. But if New York is your home turf, you’ve never quite seen it all.
